Yoga Nidra and Guided Meditation

Join us this week as local meditation teacher, and social worker, Julia Jakubowski guides us through a deep guided meditation and yoga nidra experience. Yoga nidra is an ancient yogic practice that relaxes your whole body, from the inside out. It is a beneficial support in times of stress, loss , grief, and/or overall change. Translated as enlightened sleep, yoga nidra is a methodology for unwinding deep layers of stress and disconnection. It increases sleep quality, relaxes the body and facilitates healing. It promises to be a lovely invitation to relax and be guided within. YOU WILL NEED TO LAY DOWN FOR PART OF THIS SERVICE. Please make accommodations so you can fully benefit from the experience.

Please Read: Yoga Nidra is practiced while laying on your back. If you choose to participate in Yoga Nidra, please have the physical ability to lie on your back, comfortably, for 20 minutes. Also, please have the following items available for your comfort; a blanket to cover you for warmth, a soft mat or rug underneath you, a scarf or light covering for your eyes, and two more blankets or towels rolled up under your knees and under your head for support.

This is a virtual service. If you wish to visit us, send an email to zoom-guest@macuuf.org to request an invitation.
