  • Create Climate Literate Clergy
  • Engage All Congregations and Congregants
  • Accelerate Collective Action”

Speaker Bio

Kathleen Moss is an environmental and human rights activist from Portland who has been living in Yamhill County for the past eight years. She became politically active after adopting her former foster daughter who is Mexican, as a single mom. She has been a volunteer with Unidos for three years, and is now a Community Organizer with the ELCA Synod of Oregon, serving at Unidos, as well as being a liaison to churches of all kinds in McMinnville and Newberg. Recently, Kathleen’s church, First Presbyterian Church of McMinnville, has become certified as an “Earth Care Congregation” by the Presbyterian Church, USA. She is on the Earth Care Team and as part of an interfaith conference with the national org, ecoAmerica, she was trained last year to give an Earth Care presentation specifically built for congregations and groups of faith, that she will be bringing us this month called “Blessed Tomorrow“. This is her first time presenting the material to a congregation, so she is eager to hear our feedback!
