Committee reports Charlie Coates reported on the RE Committee

Madeline Bishop reported on the Worship Committee

Barb Roush reported on the Finance Committee

Denise Patton reported on the Membership Committee

Sal España reported on the Social Action Committee

Susan Marrant reported on the Cares & Concerns Committee

Communications group – Barb Valentine described the work of the group and the document it has produced on the current state of communication within the fellowship

Rob Tanner was not on hand to go over changes to the email system

Committee on Shared Ministry – Phil Newman used several metaphors to describe the role of this relatively new committee – effectively an early warning system for the board and the minister.

Border Patrol – discussion concerned 3 areas:

1) Announcements – some pushback on the plan to shift them out of services to the Order of Service for those UU related and to our Facebook page for others. Consensus on moving them to after the singing of “Go Now in Peace”.

2) Visitor Self-Introductions – some pushback from the Worship Committee on the board recommendation of not putting first-timers on the spot.

3) Greeters – discussion of providing training for greeters – to be taken up by the Membership Committee.
