Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of McMinnville Annual Meeting

May 17, 2009

Kris Gabrielsen called the meeting to order at 11:30 A.M.

It was established that a quorum was present. Eleven members needed. Twenty-one present.

Bernie McGinnis explained the voting procedure and passed out ballots. Voting for new members of the Board and the Nominating Committee then took place.

Ted Dechatelet, Kris Gabrielsen, Bev Halverson and Patriciafaye Marshall were all elected and will join Pam Bergen and Bernie McGinnis on the Board for 2009-10.

The new Nominating Committee will consist of Brian DeMarco, Barbara Valentine and Dawn Williamson with Tricia Crawford and Ronnie Lacroute as alternates.

Bev Halverson presented the budget for 2009-10.

There was some discussion about cutting down on the expense for speakers by using more local ministers and lay people. The Worship Team will take this up at their meetings. Also the cost of child care was brought up and it was agreed that the RE Team would come to resolution on the matter.

Ted Dechatelet moved that the budget be adopted as presented and Ronnie Lecroute seconded the motion. It was unanimously approved.

Kris Gabrielsen thanked our retiring Board members: Beth Dell, Susan Marrant and Leah Bloom for their invaluable service in the initial stages of forming our Fellowship and on the Board. She then welcomed our new Board members.

Announcements:  Ken Moore has offered to hold a picnic at his house in Yamhill on an off-Sunday. June 28th, July 12th or August 9th were offered as possible dates.

Our Bylaws will be rewritten over the next three months to change some areas that are not working well for our Fellowship. A vote on the revised bylaws will be taken at the next quarterly business meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:15.

                                                                        Respectfully submitted,
