UUFM BOARD MEETING for PLEDGE DRIVE – JUNE 13, 2008

• Present: Bergen, Dell, Gabrielsen, Halvorsen, McGinnis and Tricia Crawford the facilitator for June 29th Retreat and Potluck supper.
• Kris Gabrielsen opened the meeting at 6:00 PM and explained that the purpose of this special Board Meeting was to organize the procedure for our Pledge Drive.
• After considerable discussion as to how to explain our vision and get feed back from the Fellowship, it was decided to use the basic concepts as explained in “The Soul of Money” by Lynne Twist. Beth Dell, Susan Marrant and Leah Bloom will prepare the agenda for the June 29th Retreat and Tricia Crawford and Patriciafaye Marshall will lead the visioning process.
• The need for a Pledge Drive this summer was made very clear when Bev Halvorsen and Bernie McGinnis pointed out that by September we would have around $340. in our bank account.
• It was determined to alert the Fellowship at the June 15th service that we would be having our Pledge Drive in July. Pledge forms will be handed out at the July 20th service. At the July 20th service we will have one or two members speak about their reasons for giving. There will be an e-mail pledge form sent out to the membership after the July 20th service to catch anyone who has not responded to the Pledge Drive. Telephone calls will be made to those members and friends who have donated in the past who do not return their pledge forms.
• The pledge forms will contain space for  people to write down what time, talent and funds they are willing to donate during the year.
• The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 P.M.
