A Fellowship Retreat will be held on Sunday June 29th from 3 – 7 PM at Susan Marrant’s home. It will be a potluck. Beth, Susan and Leah will plan the agenda for the retreat and will ask for help from  Tricia Crawford. An announcement will be sent to the membership requesting that they  RSVP by June 15th and alerting them to the fact that the budget and individual pledges will be discussed at the June 15th service.

The stained glass window is in need of framing. Susan Marrant and Leah Bloom will look into how to secure it so that we can display it at our services.

There will be a Board Retreat on July 4th from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. at Bernie McGinnis”s home. Leah Bloom will lead us in a communication training exercise and plans will be made for the upcoming year.

Bev Halverson suggested the election of a Parliamentarian to assist with Robert’s Rules of Order when needed at business meetings. It was agreed that should be done  when needed.

Membership Committee Chairman Bernie McGinnis reported that the committee has made a number of recommendations to increase publicity for our Fellowship.

Bev Halverson will make up a form for members to indicate what financial support the Fellowship can expect from them for the coming fiscal year. This will be e-mailed before the June 15th Service. The Fellowship needs to have  pledges no later than the retreat on June 29th.   Bev, Susan and Bernie, as Finance Committee members, will coordinate this.

Beth Dell and Bev Halverson will update the membership list.

Bev Halverson recommended we buy the Cahaba Works Church Management Software for $250.00. Susan Marrant  so moved and Bernie McGinnis seconded the motion. It was unanimously agreed to.

Bev Halverson will check First Federal Savings and Loan about setting up our checking account. She announced that  tax exempt status has been established for us by UUA headquarters in Boston . A letter will be sent to Steve Fitzgerald asking him for his bill for his assistance in getting tax exempt status.

The next Board Meeting will be held on June 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 at Bev Halverson’s home.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,
