The Rev. Tracy Springberry earned her Master of Divinity in in 2010 from Meadville-Lombard Theological School and was ordained that same year at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane. She has served congregations in Coeur d’alene, Idaho, Spokane, Washington, and Fairbanks, Alaska. She is currently serving as the minister for West Hills Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Portland as well as for UUFM.
She is a religious naturalist and believes that the basic characteristic of the universe is interrelatedness and creativity. She finds the holy in the amazing transforming world. Her faith is grounded by Buddhist thought and humanist and scientific methods as well as her own experiences of the divine. She is curious about much, loves questions, and new ideas. Her strongest ethical guidance is the great commandant taught by Jesus, “to love God (the Holy, Divine, Love) with all your heart, and mind and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself.”
She is the he co-editor, with Sarah Conover, of Chaos, Wonder, and the Spiritual Adventure of Parenting, a collection of essays that explore how parenting pushes us to grow spiritually. It is published by Skinner House Press.
She is the mother of three young adult sons and an 8 year old daughter.
