Addiction in Our Lives (Simplified Service)

Addiction is common thread, which is spun into the fabric of our humanity. Addiction causes suffering, and addicts don’t suffer alone the pain of their affliction. There are repercussions to the mothers, brothers, and best friends of, and acquantences of those who struggle with addiction. The goal of this simplified service is to foster a group discussion on how addiction effects our everyday being. Can our community find a way to be united by addiction, and not divided? Can we find a way to be more compassionate? Can we throw the curtains open on the shameful state of addiction, and find a new way forward? Do you have a story you are willing to share? I know that I do, even though it hurts.
